Indi is a record-keeping companion

Indi helps Australian sole traders, freelancers and ABN holders keep track of income, business expenses and invoices throughout the year. It is operated by INDI APP (ABN 69 591 614 728).

Indi is designed to make it easier to stay organised, not to replace an accountant, registered tax agent or bookkeeper.

Not tax, legal or financial advice

Nothing in Indi is tax, legal, accounting or financial advice. The app simply stores and presents the information you enter.

Deduction categories, business-use percentages, readiness scores and tax-time prompts are based on your own records and general record-keeping guidance. They do not take your personal circumstances into account and should not be relied on when lodging a tax return or making financial decisions.

What Indi does not do

  • Lodge tax returns, BAS or any other government return on your behalf.
  • Calculate GST obligations, income tax payable or refunds.
  • Handle payroll, superannuation or employee obligations.
  • Connect to bank feeds, import transactions or reconcile accounts.
  • Process invoice payments — clients pay you directly into your own bank account.

Your responsibility

You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the records you enter into Indi. Always confirm deductions, business-use percentages, income classifications and tax obligations with your accountant, a registered tax agent, or the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) before lodging.

Early access

Indi is currently in early access. Features, calculations and export formats may change. We encourage you to keep your own backups of important records.
